Vu+ Duo2

Looking for help on my duo2 just purchased any image install on the box after a while the box freezes and comes unresponsive so has to be unplugged to reboot any ideas in tracing this problem I have tried it with and without the H Drive still freezing

Which image you installed ? Probably re-installing the image will be quicker than tracing the problem ? Did you install the problematic Picons called LCD by any chance ?

I have installed openvix and black hole images seems to make no difference as box becomes unresponsive I both

Surely you are picking up an image for Duo2. Try installing a previous version of BH may be ? Does the problem start after you do a bit of configuration or right after the installation ?

Problem starts after doing a bit of configuration like autobouquets and cross epg box could work away for a while and then crashes

epg download is recommended on the usb (not the flash). Those two add ons are standard enough and shouldn't cause the box to crash. unused tuners shouldn't be setup and should be left as "not configured".

Have the epg on USB when I tried it with H drive installed configured both tuners for recording when disconnected hd used only tuner a have tried all these under fresh installs made no differences box stilled crashed

Do not save the epg on the usb, change it to save on the HDD this nonsense that it freezes the box has been fixed yrs ago. Are you sure the Vu Duo is an original and not a clone?

put the epg on the hd not on the usb they fixed this problem years ago why people keep insisting this is seriously beyond me

These threads should be binned. If the opening poster can't be bothered to update his progress then it's no help to anyone now or in the future.

Sorry for not getting back was just out of the loop for a few weeks update so far is epg was on HD , I tried a T2 tuner card to pick up saorview and had no freezing of the receiver the shop I purchased from is sending out a new sat tuner card will post back to see if this solves the problem
