I've set up a Pi before for Kodi but never RetroPie. I have a desired setup and would love it if someone could tell me if it would work?

Here goes:

A RPi 3 with a 32GB micro SD. I want to dual boot RetroPie and Kodi (LibreElec). I would like to store the RetroPie roms on a 128gb sandisk ultra fit usb drive (since the Pi3 has four USB ports I might want to add more for more storage later on).

Think that's everything....would that work?
