    Hi guys,

I'm looking to open a PO Box at my local sorting office and was wondering if they give you a key to a physical box?

Or do they just deliver my mail to the sorting office and I have to collect it the same way you collect a missed delivery?

If they don't give you a key they're basically charging a ridiculous amount for the same service as AddressPal..

Assuming it goes to your delivery unit then there's no facility for public access.

There are two differences between a PO and address pal:
    Length of retention
    Going to DU not PO

Both services are crap in my opinion, wouldn't use either.

PO Boxes are at the sorting facility, which you will have access to, and you will have a key for your box. Address Pal is a service to get items delivered to a post office, not a sorting facility, from a UK company that posts only to UK addresses (or perhaps it's cheaper to post to the UK address).

Address Pal and PO Boxes are completely different services, not in the slightest bit alike. All of this information is on the An Post site.

If you're actually looking for an Address Pal or Parcel Motel type solution, then a PO box is not what you want at all.
