Christmas Temp Job & Part-Time SW?

So in the last 2 months after going from full-time employment to part-time work, to then being told they didn't have any more hours for me I signed on full time.

I applied away for jobs and after 2 weeks on the dole, have managed to get a part-time Christmas temp job. So I start on Tuesday. Slight problem being, after I accepted the job, I was told of the contracted hours, 4 days - 4 hours per day at just above minimum wage.

I'm delighted to have any job tbh but I was wondering if there was any way I could claim part-time dole as I'm only going to be working 16 hour per week? Can't seem to find much info online but then again I don't understand how it works anyways.

If anyone could help me with a bit of advice, it would be greatly appreciated! :)

The hours worked aren't taken into account for part time workers, it's the days that count. You have to be working 3 days or less to claim.
