Weekend trip in Ireland

    Hello,

unfortunately we had to cancel our upcoming trip today due to unforeseen circumstances.

I'm 21 weeks pregnant and we wanted to have a short getaway since I'm due in March and most likely won't have the time to do any travels before poop bundle arrives.

I don't live in Ireland for that long to know the hot spots really.
So what we're looking for now is a short weekend trip within 2 hours driving distance of Dublin for 2 - eventually 3 nights in January.

We're looking for something to relax and enjoy ourselves before due.
Nothing that requires too much walking because I'll be most likely a walking ham by then.

Any suggestions more than welcome :)

What kind of budget? How will you be travelling? What are your interests?

Budget up to 200 a night, driving by Car, so can get pretty much anywhere.
Interests at that point is just having a nice, laid-back weekend for the both of us, getting away before trouble starts. We indeed do like seeing stuff, but long walking won't be possible at that point.

What about Faithlegg outside of Waterford, it's rural but close to Waterford city and close to nice beach walks and villages like Dunmore East, which has some good places to eat?Faithlegg has lovely lounge rooms to seat around by the fire and relax -and the food is also very good.

Not keen on Faithlegg. Suggest town based weekend like Kilkenny in decent hotel with spa etc especially if weather not great and days short.

We decided for Castle Leslie in Monaghan, very excited to go :)
    Booked the Mum-to-be package.
