    It would be more ideal if the oral surgeon who did the treatment also did the check up and suture removal..

    However.... your dentist can do this and the suture removal... They just won't know how difficult the teeth were and what specifically to expect from your healing etc... I suppose if they see anything they don't like, they will advise you to see the oral surgeon....

    Sorry if I'm hijacking this thread and if I'm off topic, but could anyone tell me if having wisdom teeth removed in a hospital could leave a scar on my face. I feel like this sounds like a stupid question, however my dentist told me that because me wisdom teeth were impacted and also quite sideways, that they'd have to "come out the front" instead of being pulled up like a regular extraction. it's this element of it that I'm worried will leave a scar.

    there will be no facial scar, impacted wisdom teeth are still removed from inside the mouth...
