Issue with gas boiler installer

Hey folks, bit of an odd situation here. Got a boiler installed 4 years ago. 2 years ago got a smart thermostat and installed it my self.
All was working grand for 2 years.

Last week the heating wouldn't come on but the hot water was working.
called the original installer out to have a look. As it turns out the old wireless thermostat (that he originally installed) was still connected to the system, its batteries had died which caused the boiler to not fire for the heating.

He told me he was going to have to come back to permanently remove the old wireless thermostat and that for now, when we replaced the batteries and set the old thermostat to heat at 38degrees the boiler would continue to use the inputs from the smart thermostat (the new one I installed) and the system would conintue to work as before.
We arranged for him to call back sometime the next week to sort it out properly.

Monday night and the boiler wouldn't fire at all (for heating or for hot water). Called the guy who installed it and he said he'd come out last night to sort it out.
He never showed. He is now dodging my calls and letting them go to voicemail.
I've just spent €90 on a call out fee form another gas boiler crowd who told me its not the boiler thats the issue (they were able to fire the boiler up by triggering a switch on the servos), its the servo boxes from the original system, apparently one of them is now faulty. The guy how called out today was a boiler engineer and wasn't able to sort out the issue.

The original installer is still dodging my calls. I've tried calling 3 more times today and left text messages.

Anyone any ideas how I can proceed to get this fixed? is it an electrician I need to call out?
Is there any point in reporting the original guy to the RGII?

What warranty do you have with the boiler? If it's no longer under warranty then he is not obliged to come back. Also you might have voided part of the warranty by modifying the system yourself.
