Squeak coming front off-side brakes

There is a squeak coming from the front off-side wheel of my Insignia that disappears under breaking and when turning.

Any ideas on what it could be and how I could check it out?

    Thanks in advance.

It is possible something is stuck in the caliper, or sumsuch.
Can you put car up and take wheel off and have a look?

Maybe the pad wear indicator is touching the disc?
Have you checked the depth of material left on the pad?
Usually you'd get the squeak upon breaking but if its constant, it is possible that its the wear indicator.

Thanks Biko. I'll try that tomorrow, too dark now in the evenings to see much.

I haven't, is it easy to tell if they are worn out?
