THESE ARE NOT SJCAM - JUST SJ5000 (PRESUMABLY CLONES).

Great to buy a few of them for 360 degree filming or a project 8-)
You can compare the different SJ5000 versions on their website
    http sjcamhd[dot]com/compare-sj5000-series/
I noticed that all SJCam models were on sale last month and since then a few of them have dropped in price permanently on ebay.

This looks like the best price to me.
    Swap [dot] for .

The Yellow one is 14.11euro. All of the other colours are 20.54euro or maybe cheaper if you search on ebay.

I would guess so. They have dropped in price in most places (I was thinking ebay and aliexpress, but never noticed they didn't say SJCAM), I am guessing the newer models coming out with 360 degree views, and 4K etc..

Getting errors when trying to proceed to buy any of them

SJ5000 cams have great reviews, these prices surely can't be right!

According to this you should avoid them if they do no feature the SJCAM logo on the front.
That' s why the second release (or later batch as people call it) of SJ4000 included SJCAM brand on the front of the camera. All the upcoming models SJ4000 WiFi and SJ5000, SJ5000 Plus have logo.

My advice is only buy the second batch, as the first one is too risky. You can' t know if its real or not until you get it. So to avoid unnecessary expenses and stress, avoid all cameras that do not have SJCAM imprinted on the front of the camera.

Maybe the cameras listed are actually the SJ4000 model? Looks so from the official website when comparing that and the listing.

I already bought 2 of them. I remember when the clones or copies were coming out and the sj4000 were a big deal, they were still selling at around 50euro, so this still seems like a good deal to me.
It was my mistake though, and it was also my mistake that SJCam name was brought into it. The ebay links do not actually say SJCam anywhere. :O
    Sorry.
They are just SJ5000's. The Geekbuying sale last month were all SJCam models though.

Thanks for that; wish I'd seen that before buying a dud off Aliexpress about this time last year. I to-ed and fro-ed with them for quite a while, by email, but they flat refused to honour the terms of their 'buyer protection' guarantee.

Haven't bought anything from Aliexpress since, and never will again. I know a lot of boardsies use them - as I used to myself - but there are plenty of alternatives.

Aliexpress isn't a store, it's a bunch of people selling. It's resellers, they never actually see your product most likely.

Chalk it up to a lesson.

Mostly Chinese students selling things from the factories around them and pushing the prices up, with the exception on some of the bigger stores. There is also indonesia aliexpress now and within the last year the main site has started allowing international sellers in, like ebay or amazon. But so far they have only really allowed Russian and Ukranian sellers.
