My partner works full time and gets €403 net pay. If I move in with partner will I still be able to get my JSA? I know there is a formula but I am not able to work it out. If anyone can work it out for me I'd be much obliged.

    Thanks in advance.

I have read and re-read this link several times, very hard to understand.
Would love if someone could so the figures roughly for the above question as i could be soon in similer situation financialy and want to know how much i will loose of my DA,if my OH.starts work on take home of 350.
From what i understand my household benifits ,his fuel allowance ,our rent (differential rent rate) all will be affected.
im on full rate Dissabilty allowance at minute and he gets full rate jobseekers,so if i loose all we would be financially very much worse off

It would be difficult to work this out without all the info. It's not based on take home pay but gross pay. The below is how you work it out:

Your spouse, civil partner or cohabitant's weekly earnings (from employment, including rehabilitiative employment) are assessed as follows:

Weekly earnings are gross earnings less PRSI, superannuation (pension payments) and union dues.

€20 per day (up to a maximum of €60) from work is deducted from your spouse, civil partner or cohabitant's average weekly earnings and then 60% of the balance is assessed as weekly means. The weekly means is then deducted from the combined total of your personal rate of Disability Allowance and the maximum Increase for a Qualified Adult and any Increases for Qualified Children (if applicable). This formula does not apply to income from self-employment (all income from self-employment is assessed and there are no disregards).

As it states, the means is deducted from your personal rate and a rate for qualified adult so if you're on full rate, your weekly DA will be 312.80 minus above means (assuming you have no kids?)

6 years ago, I was bringing home 510 per week and my partner was awarded 23 euro per week.

At the time we had no kids, the jsa rate would have been 210 per week.

Not sure if this is any help.

As mentioned above, it's not easy to calculate without knowing all of the relevant info. Why not drop into your local Citizens Info office and they'll do the calculations for you.
