Alternator refurbish on Suzuki Ignis 1.3

    hi all,
    just wondering can anybody tell me what i should be expected to pay on an altinator refurbish for a 2000 1.3 suzuki ignis, i changed the belt today and realised that the altonator still wasnt charging after looking for a new altinator everywhere possible i decided to see if they can fix it above in the mechanics, just wondering what price should i expect becasue im short on cash till next week im hoping 40-50 should do it

    Its an alternator :) some cant even be rebuilt but 40-50 is unlikely, more 80-120

    95% of the time it's the voltage regulator is gone when an alternator stops charging.

    Watch a few of this fellows vids on removing the voltage regulators on alternators.

    then give him a ring with the part number stamped on your alternator/regulator

    The regulators are usually about 15 to 20 euro delivered from him.
