    Hi guys,
I've sourced a clean Titanium x and am also thinking of an Accord GT. Wondering on good and bad points of both. Both are 2.2d and both 2009/10
Bit of a Ford man anyway but open to change for a while.
    Thank you

I think there's titanium focus and mondeos. I presume you're comparing the mondeo?

One of the things to check on the Accord is if it has a sunroof that there's not heavy rust around the sills of it.

I have a 2008 Mondeo Titanium X 2.2 175BHP. Have had it since new and I love it!
    Plus points:
Fast - 175bhp has tons of torque and is a very driveable car
Economical - averaging 45mpg, this will go past 50 on a good run
Space - Easily 5 adults with loads of luggage space in rear
Looks - this car doesnt appear to have dated badly and when polished, really looks good in sea grey

    Minus points:
Minor electrical glitches - sometimes dash board lights dont come, with engine restart all work
Headlights - shown to malfunction (they turn through the corners) but with engine restart they work
Car tax - I believe its 570 for the year
    Summary
I would definitely get another one and have considered changing to the newer Mondeo (they are hugely expensive though). All in all, highly recommended!

The newer version of the accord form 08 did suffer a little from DPF issues, i think it may have been addressed after the first year or so. Had two of the older models and there were great cars

Yes mondeo, don't think the focus came in Titanium X. Could be wrong though...

there's 2 types of gt on the accord. es and ex. gt only adds visual stuff on the outside I think. the ex has some nice extras.

Accord was available in Type S with 180bhp too in the UK. Higher spec than the GT and 30bhp more.

Ah yes, the ex is the executive? Screen on dash and can download the Sat nav to it? Voice control too for the phone? It came in around 150bhp 2.2 ? Nice car, neighbour has one.

Seen a few, only sold here from about 2010 with the facelift, pretty rare as they cost over 40k new. They are badged Type S 180 and come with adaptive headlights and slightly different front grill plus unique 18" alloy wheels.

They are nice alright. Probably just out of price range. Have 10k to spend, allowing roughly 800 for insurance as that is up soon. Hard to find them and clean 175bhp mondeo bar looking up north or across the water. The mondeo I'm looking at is northern too and just comes under budget including vrt

My money be on the type s accord. Seen a good few whilst I was living over there and they grabbed my attention more so than a mondeo.
Good luck with whichever you go with
