i was running 2 samsung syncmaster 2232bw off a nvidia quadro nvs 285.

i changed the 2 monitors to Samsund SF356's and now the card won't recognize the 2nd screen.

    can anyone give any advice?

    thanks.

    Maybe try the following:

    1) sudo mv /etc/X11/xorg.conf to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.bak
    2) sudo reboot
    3) Open Settings\Displays and press Detect Displays
    4) On the same window uncheck Mirror Displays checkbox

Its 2x DVI + VGA on the old ones but 2x HDMI + VGA on the new boys. 1680 x 1050 to 1080p.
    Max Digital Display Support 1920 x 1200
    Max Analog Display Support 2048 x 1536

At a glance you'd think it would work. How are you connecting them a DVI breakout cable or has your Quadro got DVI and VGA?

A loose cable from changing over was the culprit.

Only see this made me realise to check them!

    Cheers.
