Which additive for a long run TDCI

    Hi guys.
    Got a nice 2l mondeo diesel which does a lot of short runs but is perfect. I occasionally throw in dipthane or redex but not sure if it's any good.

    This weekend have a trip to the UK with a couple of hundred miles of high speed driving. Between dipthane, redex and assorted valve and injector cleaners, is there anything in particular that is good for preventative maintenence?

    Normal diesel and regular servicing.

    Petrols can see some small effects as the injectors are low pressure and the fuel washes in through the intake valves, on a commonrail direct injection diesel 250ml of injector cleaner will do nothing more than add 250ml of liquid to the tank, utterly pointless

    Clean out the EGR valve and passages will prolong good running
