Yes I got one in Woodies before, something like €5-€10.

Here's one that's compatible with the modern ones with water meter but as far as I know connection is the same...

Depending on the op's setup, the Linked one may not work as it looks like it's for the new meters (1/4 turn on/off).

Older setup will need one of these:

Can you not turn it off at the meter outside?

If its the new water meter, yes, no key required. It's just a manual 1/4 turn on/off. Easily done by hand. Just pop the cover with a flat-head screwdriver, remove the foam protector and the valve is then exposed.

Yea that's the way I've always done it. I just presumed everyone had the same setup.

You'll need to pop the cover and check the type first. As others have said you might not actually need a key if it's one of the new ones. Just a blue lever you quarter turn clockwise (if I remember right) to turn off. Woodies stock keys for two of the older types last I checked (a week ago when I had to do the same).

Before you do anything though is yours the only house running off it? If neighbours are as well you need to take that into consideration. We were fine as it just connected to our house so didn't impact anyone else.
