Stick to a well known brand, there's some nice Sony and Pioneer double din steroes on the market if space allows you to fit them, lots of functionality and majority of them allow you to change the background lighting so you can change it to match the blue, green, red dash colour.

Would totally agree with going for a known brand when it comes to a new car stereo.

What unit is in there currently ?

I bought a bluetooth adaptor for a standard VAG head unit last year that plugged into the unused cd changer socket at the back. Been working fine ever since with various phones, think it was around 30 euro from a German ebay seller.

This was the seller I got mine from for VW RCD head unit.

Not familiar with Skoda units, but I'm sure there'd be something similar for it.

I fitted an xtrons android head unit in my 08 golf recently .
    couldnt recommend it more.
I was afraid of it being slow, laggy etc etc but its far from it.

A new bluetooth module was 200e and the new head unit was 230.
