Can anyone clarify (with a link if possible) when the eform 12 returned via PAYE Anytime site is due?

I keep hearing its 10th November if done on line but any detail I find its due 31st October

    Cheers

The extended filing date you are hearing refers mainly to the Form 11 tax return, and can only be availed of, if you both file online, and also pay any liability online.

Paper based returns are due 31st October.

You have the option of completing a form 11 instead....a form 12 is effectively an abbreviated form 11...

    Incorrect.

A Form 11 refers to self assessed taxpayers, where as the Form 12 is soley for PAYE earners, who may or may not have an additional income, under a certain threshold.

You could complete a Form 11, but if you are not registered for self assessment, and are not obliged to, Revenue could return it to you, as the Form 12 is the prescribed form for completion by PAYE taxpayers.

I should have said that I was referring to the paper versions....

In my experience, Revenue will accept a form 11 if you complete and submit it in the absence of a form 12. It's still a statutory declaration of Income.
