Moulded Drum Washing Machine

Washing Machine acting up quite a bit recently when spinning and now the belt has slipped free. After some investigation the drum has cracked a little and is leaking slightly. The pulley also has a fair bit of play in it, causing the belt to slip, so looks like the bearings have gone also.
I stripped it down and sure enough the drum is moulded/glued shut so chance of repairing is looking slim. Has anyone had any success? I've mentioned it to a few repair specialists and they all say either un-economical or won't be possible to re-seal it.

    Any suggestions?

Moulded drums are the curse of the modern day washing machine.
People should simply refuse to buy them.
Very few repair guys will repair a cracked drum as they cannot guarantee it.
Unfortunately, in your case, the bearings are broken too so its not worthwhile even trying a repair.
A new moulded drum can cost anything from €130 upwards. Almost the cost of a new machine.
What is the make and model by the way.? Indesit have a history of drums cracking.

Thanks for the reply its an Indesit IWB 5123

I definitely wouldn't like to buy another moulded drum but how can you tell before purchasing?

Is there any worth to the parts or anything I should keep hold of before scrapping?

Just ask when you're buying. They should be able to tell you. If they cant, then buy from somebody that can.!

For a quick check yourself, tilt the machine to 45 degrees and have a look at the drum from underneath. If you cannot see a ring of small screws/bolts or clips holding the 2 drum halves together, its a moulded/sealed drum.

The current bosch 28100 has a drum that can be opened and has 4 quick washes ranging in time from 15 minutes to 35 min along with all the other washes and overall well built

I think that's the one with the inverter motor? I'd imagine the Siemens N200 model is quite similar as it looks aethetically similar from the outside, but with 5 year warranty.
