Put the UK reg in here and have a look at the last MOT in February:

    https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/

EPC and engine lights on, have these issues been fixed now as it seems to have been on at the Dec 2013 MOT too? The timing chains on those TSi engines have been known to stretch too. 136k miles at last MOT too which is hefty enough for a 7 year old 1.2 litre engine. I'd also run a history check on it incase it was a write off or swimmer. What appears to be a cheap car can easily end up being an expensive lemon.

Obviously caveat emptor applies always - particularly with cheaper cars - I was really just trying to point out that the VRT was quite favourable. Even paying £4k for one will get it in under the €6k mark.

What the best site for checking out the history of an Irish car? In fairness the UK site you linked to told you what engine lights where showing on the dash, what site do people recommend for checking the history on cars over here?

In dnalerI, even asking for the NCT history of a car that you can prove you now own is a breach of the data protection act, never mind a car you might like to buy.

So the Irish yeti for €8500 could have all those problems and there is no way of knowing? Makes the UK one look an even better buy, no?
