Just wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation. I bought a tv from amazon uk. Unboxed it and there was a crack in the screen. I contact customer care and they ship out a replaced. So all good there. Issue is with tv return. It's a 50" screen so I contacted customer care again about the return and asked them to organise the collection of the tv with a carrier. Initially the response was pretty positive, they contacted ups and got a price. Here is where the problems begin and my main one is that the return is going to cost €170 and while they'll reimburse me for the cost it's simply not the kind of money I have right now. Anyone have a similar experience before?

    €170!!!!

    Where's it going - Austrailia?

That has to be UPS express courier service.

UPS also have an economy road service (2 days to UK0 which should be no more than €30-€40 even for a large item.

DPD or even An Post are other options

While Amazon can often provide prepaid labels they don't always have this option depending on the item etc.

I'd say shop around, see what an post etc will do it for. Even if you paid out the 170 as long as you have the receipt amazon won't have a problem refunding you

How expensive is the TV? Prices will include insurance so that could drive it way up.

Just checked a 20kg 150cm x 730cm x 120cm parcel to the UK with Parcel2Go Ireland and there are a few results from about €20.

Most couriers won't cover damage to TVs but will cover loss up to a few hundred euro
