    Hi all,
Looking for help, I need a floor length formal dress for a black tie event, however I am fairly skint so trying to keep it as low budget as possible, would like a dark colour, something suitable for a size 12/14, and 5ft2, anyone any suggestions even where to look? It would need to be online too!

Asos have lots of formal options, have you had a look there?

Debenhams sale might be worth a look or ASOS. If there are any charity shops near you it might be worth a look as often you can pick up dresses like that. I know you say keep the budget as low as possble but could you give a figure? If you know anyone who was at a debs over the past few years and are a similar size you could ask if you could borrow a dress and just pay to get it dry cleaned afterwards.

I have had a look on asos, and nothing stood out to me! I might have a look again tonight though!

Maybe try House of Fraser. They have a sale on at the moment.

You could try Mango Outlet. It's separate website to Mango. You could just sort out dresses from high to low and it will show you gown type dresses first. Their sizes are small.

OP if you give an idea of the style you like people might be able to help out a little bit more!

Thanks all, in terms of style I think I would like a fitted or structured dress rather than a line or straight down, plus no high necked dress, it would need to have some kind of v nevk preferably and probably a dark enough colour, black, navy or a deep red, am totally open to any suggestions!! Thanks so far!!

I'd try anywhere that stock quiz. They have some nice maxi dresses that are very reasonable.
