Polythene sheet for testing floor for damp

I'm thinking of taking up my carpets and laying laminate flooring. Some instructions online suggest that the first thing to do is test your floors for damp. These tests seem to use a polythene sheet 1mx1m.

Where could I get a small piece of polythene like that? Would saran wrap/cling film suffice??

You could tape some binbags together. OR buy 1m length of proper DPM plastic, which I think comes as 4m wide. I'd say the binbags would suffice.
