    Lads and Lassies.

Just a reminder when you're running a speed test.

If you have a fast connection then the server you choose to test with will have
    a bearing on your results.

    Test#1: Using Dublin's Three Server

Test#2: Using the auto detected "best" server

Test#3: Again using Dublin's Three Server

Test#4: God only knows who's running this one?

In other words, it depends on how fast the remote server can dish out data to you. If the server is slow, it will result in what seems like a poor download speed on your end.

So before you think your internet speeds are truly crap, try a different server! and of course, always use wired.

Since I moved to VM recently it's shown up all the weaknesses in my network. As you say the only true way to get the full benefit of the available 360 meg is to use a wired connection to a gigabit port. Wireless speeds are substantially lower mainly due to wireless cards maxing out at 150 meg. My samknows box reports consistent 357-59 meg at all times of the day or night. A great service.
