Anyone know why speed has been cut to 50km per hour in the tunnel traveling southbound?? It has been like this for weeks!! It's dangerous as most cars ignore it and the chances of being rear ended are high?? 😡😡

It was reduced to 50 when a truck drove through and damaged the roof of the tunnel a couple of weeks back

Put a Garda car on the opposite side of the tunnel for a few days and it will soon cut out the people ignoring the reduced speed limit. It's clearly marked so no excuse.

The normal 80km limit is ignored too, so there's not a hope that people are going to slow down to 50km.
