wondering if anyone can help me, im reseaching my grandfather, he was in the royal air force, i dont have much info about him just his solder number, where do i go from there ?? i tried all the air force web pages etc with no joy

To get his service records you will need to prove that you are next of kin. there is also a small fee involved.

Have you tried FindMyPast.ie or a similar website? I think they do free trial periods.
