    Why is there no call for a statue for the late jazz musician Louis Stewart in Waterford (his birthplace)? He was a better guitarist than Rory Gallagher (who has four statues, one plaque, and one sculpture already).

    Agree 100 %. Used to go see him play quite regularly in Dublin - The Blue Note and JJ Smyths.

    An amazing musician and an Irish cultural icon. I don't think many people realized what a national treasure he was.

    Great idea, if council ok'd it, I'm sure crowd funding could finance it.
