Mains to bathroom?

    hello everybody,

I am doing a house refurb and have a new well dug. The plumber is finished but the flow in the bathroom is very weak, both hot and cold. The tank is big enough and in the attic. No pipe runs to speak of and cylinder is very close too. Plumber says he doesn't know why the flow is slow. Its all new pipework. Any ideas?

As a side note, out of curiosity, what are the reasons for not piping the bathroom cold to the mains? And perhaps the hot feed pump fed?

    Many thanks for your ideas.

    Eamon

Is it just the taps or shower too ? There could be dirt debris clogging tap especially if it fed from a dug well.

    thanks hatch,
dont know about shower yet as I still have to get shower bar. There are no issues with mains pressure at kitchen sink. Hot tap at kitchen sink is equally slow as bathroom. half inch qualpex used for the bath and sink in bathroom. Slow also at bath.

Are you sure its only 1/2 inch feeding the bath taps. What size are the pipes coming from the cistern to the hot water cylinder and from the cistern to the cold tap in the bath

    thanks lads,

half inch is all I have noticed in the bathroom but I will double check it. Cistern to cylinder is 3/4 inch as far as I rem but I will double check it.
