MK5 Golf - yellow oower steering light

A couple of months ago, my power steering warning light came on when I started my car (05 1.9 tdi golf). When I turned off the car and started it again it disappeared.

Last weekend the same happened. Then, last Wednesday the light came on and hasn't gone off since. I've tried cleaning the earths and disconnecting the battery in the hopes that that would clear the light.

It's also showing no codes on a generic OBD2 reader.

Anyone have any ideas on what I can do next?

Get the fault checked by a main dealer or someone with VAG COM etc.

Sounds like a steering angle sensor fault.
