Looking at replaced discs and pads on Audi a5, just wondering what is the best make / model of dics and pads to use?

    Thanks

You will not go wrong with the genuine Audi parts in this case. No doubt they're more expensive than the spurious equivalent but on a powerful (I assume diesel...!) car they will not be beaten on performance or longevity. If you do decide on an aftermarket brand, my experience with the apec brand of disc is bad, particularly on diesel models. Brake disc rrun out after relatively short distances has plagued the service dept I work in.! (Not Audi btw!!) No issues with the APEC pad range to be fair if it's a pad change only without the discs. I generally request blueprint discs and pads from my supplier and I've yet to have any bad reports on these. Hope this helps.

I have EBC disks and pads on my Allroad and would rate them highly. I wouldn't agree that Audi parts are necessarily better quality. The EBC pads and disks majorly out perform the original Audi items on my car. At the end of the day, Audi don't make brake pads. They're most likely made by a company like ATE or Pagid.
