Why can't we have nice things...like light switches?

How come the standard things we have in Irish homes are ugly or useless, or both?

Look at the standard European light switch, it's elegant looking and has a nice big plate that feels nice to use. Ours looks like it was designed by a blind robot in a hurry.

Why are double taps in bathrooms standard?

Why do our plugs resemble something banned under the Geneva convention?

Why do we waste the view from our kitchens by putting the sink in the way?

    ...and why the bleedin' immersion!!!

What's wrong with our light switches?

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Yeah but at least we have good solid plugs, not like those flimsy 2 pin yokes they have on the continent.

Dutch lights can only be turned on by gently caressing your nipples

Our plugs are superior to European plugs because they are easier to find in the dark with your bare feet.

And what's the deal with airline peanuts??

If we had european (continental?) plugs then you would have
to throw out all your euro adaptors. They'd be useless.

You didn't think about that. Did you.

Household fixtures aren't enforced by law.

You can pay some handy person to install one of your choosing for you.
