Planning small country retreat

    Hi everybody,

So I hope I came to the right thread.

The idea is I need a little bit of advice, I plan to buy a small house with a piece of land of approx 1 acre. outside of Dublin. What I would like to do is to set up a small country retreat(if that's how you would call it). Pretty much me and my wife would be living in the main house and we would plan on building a few structures at the far side of land such as sauna, washroom, kids play and bbq areas, building or terrace for a few tables so we could organize some events, birthdays etc. and even a 2-3 bed sleeper to rent out for a night. separating everything by a thick hedge or so. This is really only the rough plan so don't judge!

So what kind of PP I would need to have a look at, or where I could go and get more answers regarding this idea? :)

I've heard that county council they look favorably towards the ideas that can create tourism and employment in the local area and so on.

Any advice and opinions are welcome!

    Cheers
    Mat

Speak to a local architect, engineer, surveyor or technician with local experience.
Sounds commercial so may need fire cert and disability certs etc

Not many updates since really, although the idea is still there we are still at the very early stages of planning, nothing can go any further until we can actually secure the property with a bit of land.

I thought maybe a boardie would show up someday with much the same
    interests

    One step at the time.
