Keyboard Ribbon Cable Clip

    Lads does anyone know if these are the same size for all laptops? I know they are different sizes depending on the device its connecting but specifically the one for the connection of the keyboard to the motherboard.

    Looking to replace on from an Asus Aspire - I was replacing the hard drive and had to remove a minefield of ribbon cables to get at it and then taking out the keyboard on one end of the clip broke away so now it wont sit right. I have tried to jam it in at that end using some card underneath and tape but its not making the right contact across all of the ribbon cable and I get some of the letters not working.

    Any ideas where I might pick one up and if they are all the same size for a keyboard ribbon cable?

    buy a dead/faulty board off €bay and take the clip off it.
