Disaster of a junction from day one. I'm glad I don't have to use it at peak times. I just hope they are not thinking of putting traffic lights on that roundabout as it will just make things worse imo.

There was a few emails going around at work about the roundabout and the traffic.
Firstly they have put box junctions on the roundabout.
I dont think this will help anything.
Secondly there is talk that the guards will be directing traffic at peak times over the next few weeks.

They have added a yellow junction box to improve traffic in area during peak times, likely do to with that

I don't see how painting a yellow box is going to do much given how poor lane discipline is on that roundabout as it is.

every bloody day the same people zoom in on the right lane and try to get past me into the left lane once on the roundabout. NO!
    Go around the roundabout again!
I WONT LET YOU IN FRONT OF ME!

It's fine if they have gone around the roundabout and are trying to exit at that exit.

One major problem also is that traffic inbound on the Dublin Rd gets backed up from the lights at the Cappamore/R506 junction as far as the roundabout itself, which leads to delays back onto the eastbound off ramp of the M7 because traffic on this off ramp has to yield to traffic on the roundabout.

It's a pity some sort of Dublin Rd outbound -> M7 northbound slip wasn't envisaged when the junction was built.

Agreed, i have no problem with that, its the fake helpless "oh i meant to go into that lane, silly me teehee" sly grin from those who just do down the right side of the offramp, fly across the now hatched box and attempt to sneak back in.
They must be burnt with cleansing fire.....
