    It's only worth what someone will pay for it. I know that is not helpful but when it comes to rare items that is the truth.
    The watch looks polished to within an inch of it's life. And the dial looks way too clean for a 70 year old watch for my liking.
    No pics of the movement and cant tell if that is an original crown or not.

    You say the hour hand came off? That should not be a big deal and can be sorted in seconds. But the hour hand is normally underneath the minute hand...so the latter would normally come off first.

    All of these factors devalue the watch for me.

    Personally I would not buy it. Prefer my watches to show their age a little.

    But I would guess you could pick up a watch like that for 250-300 at auction? Double/trebble that in a retailer like Breretons.

    Over polished, wrong hands and a redial. Wouldn't be for me TBH.
