Boiler Thermostat question

    Hi Have a Vokera 35HE boiler

    Was a replacement for the old Vokera mynute

    We have an old thermostat in the hall which looks only to serve the purpose of a switch between Heat + hot Water and Hot water only

    It an old thermostat that has a live and and a Switched live. Turning the dial all the way up does not turn on the boiler ? and if you turn the dial down it will turn shut valve and will just heat the hot water tank.

    It it possible to put a smart thermostat that would turns on the boiler on demand ?

    House as built in 2004 (1 Zone heating)

    Boiler has analog pin timer on it and thats what we currently use to turn off and on boiler
