A problem has just started with my bath. It is draining very slowly with the plug in. It's a good fitted metal
Plug and it appears to be doing its job- rather it appears the wAter is draining through the jets and the but that's sucks in the water for the jets. Is this even possible??? Where would the water go? And is it a big job to fix

is there a rubber seal on the metal plug..,you could try a different plug or wrap the metal with a couple of layers with cling film and test.
