    Hello folks,

I want a pump for the hot and cold feeds to my bathroom. The water tank is in the attic almost directly over the cylinder, which is in the kitchen. The hotpress backs against the bathroom wall and the pipes pass under this wall to the bathroom. There are no long runs. The shower is fed from the hot water cylinder and tank, however I do not want a high strong force of water in the bathroom. Something moderate as its very slow at the moment. There are so many pumps that its mind boggling. About 1 shower per day is taken and the cylinder is 48 x 18 inches.
    Many thanks

If you are getting a plumber to install the pump he will select a suitable sized one.

If you are planning to install the pump yourself I'd suggest that you read up on it. It's not just a matter of tapping into the hot and cold feed. The cylinder will need to have a flange installed

very unhelpful and prejudiced response. "I'd suggest" not bothering to write at all in such a situation.

That is a very unfair criticism to what I think was a helpful reply. Perhaps you misunderstood the answer.

Please follow site and charter rules. "Resistance is futile"

My main question was were you getting a plumber in to do the job? Usually someone that doesn't know what size or type of pump they need wouldn't know how to install one. There are so many pumps that its mind boggling
I don't care if you do or not. This isn't like a recent thread where a DIYer wanted advice on how he could do the plumbing & heating by himself in a new build.
If you were getting a plumber in then the logical thing is to let him tell you your best options rather than seek advice here.
If you were doing the job yourself I wanted to make sure you had the knowledge on how it should install it. If you don't have the knowledge to install it I'd rather share that knowledge with you before you go buy pump.
Buying a pump is easy. It's the fitting of it that can be tricky
I'm pretty sure you picked me up wrong. I'm just trying to get all the facts to give you the best advice I can
