Quick question guys.. I need to rent a car for some travelling.. I got my licience a few months ago but the car agent said you need to have a licience for the past 2 years... If I say the this is my second licience / renewed is there any way of them knowing ?

    Thanks

We'll it says the date on it - that doesn't change even if you have a renewal or replacement.

Some companies won't have this requirement, maybe try a few different rental companies.

Even if you manage to slip past the rental desk, the insurance company will not miss it and use it to invalidate your cover.

Enterprise don't have any requirement for a minimum term on having a full licence. I got one a week after passing my test.

Irish licences have the orginal date on the back, so if you attempt fraud anyone with half a clue will shop you.
