I'm thinking of installing an EMP 17-8 multiswitch with terrestrial piggy-backed. Do I need splitters on each coax even in rooms that don't need terrestrial. In other words if I connected an output from the switch directly to a sat receiver will it mess up the terrestrial on others?

Hi. No, you don't have to have a splitter for each output. You can always put one in later if you need to, for terestrial stations. There shouldn't be any ill effect without one.

You also don't need a splitterr if you're just using an output for terestrial. I have a setup using a TD 88 for 28e 19e 13e and 9e (for Saorsat) . I think it's centred on 16e, before putting on the multi-bracket. ( I do loose Saorsat occasionaly in heavy rain. ) Watty's posts were a good source of information. Thanks Watty.

Cheers Delta Lima, I have a similar setup already feeding 4 outlets using DISEQCs but wanted to expand to 2 more rooms. The multiswitch seems the easiest way to do this.
Re Saorsat, I had similar issues with a seemingly good signal falling through the floor at the first sign of weather. A change of LNB cured this.
