My wife and I are still separately assessed and I am wondering of there is any benefit swapping to joint assessment.

We are both over the marginal rate cut off, so from what I see there would be not benefit in polling credits etc.. am I missing anything here?

Being jointly assessed won't necessarily mean you're any better off....but it will ensure that you're never worse off if one income decreases substantially for any reason (eg. maternity...illness/injury...redundancy...)

It also saves a bit of time in that you only need to make one return instead of two....
