Is there any speed to be gained.

    Running Dublin marathon in 2 weeks and wondering is there speed to be gained between now and then. is there any specific workout to focus on say intervals or tempo runs. Training for event started late this year so am trying to cram as much as i can. Time last year was 3;10 and was hoping to dip under that this year but have done 3:04 previous year. Have heard it takes two weeks for the body to feel any benefit from a good training session but not sure how true this is. hope people who are running are enjoying the taper.

    Yes absolutely.

    Taper well and you will gain speed...
