Well lads agriculture and the Gaa have always seemed to go hand in hand.
Seeing as it's that time of year how is your club going.
Clare hurling final for us Sunday. Fingers crossed.

Reminds me of years ago and the ads during the all Ireland would be for drenches and dry cow tubes 😄

Have an interest in the Intermediate Final tomorrow. Hoping our lads make it back to the big time. Have to admit though that I haven't been to a game all year.
Used to love this time of year going to a lot of the County Finals (hurling and football) with my father (always ending the day with a few pints in town and then out to the local), but since he passed away I just don't seem to bother.

    Ballyea or Clonlara? :)
I find the weather has a huge part to play at this time of year. I was at the Clare football final last week and it was a great game to watch. Fine day kept all the slipping and sliding away.

I'll be shouting for ballyea anyway, You never know what Clonlara team will show up and ballyea are being written off by everyone. Cratloe for Jack, lost the little bit of respect I had for Kilmurry after the jeering Cathal Mc got taking the free at the end, no sportsmanship whatsoever. Broadford to win intermediate hurling and Kilmurry to win junior a football as much as it pains me to say it.

So closely linked that matches all seem to be at milking time. Link long since gone I'm afraid

Cousin was managing a team in a intermediate semifinal. They got well beaten. Surprised really, cos the manager is so good :);)

I wouldn't begrudge ye at all but it'd be nice to see ballyea make the breakthrough all the same, Kelly v Galvin will be interesting anyway! Ballyea might struggle a bit up front if ye can keep Kelly quiet. I was at a few of ye're games over the last few years and it's a rare day that ye click right, Ye don't seem the have the same fight in ye as Cratloe and on paper ye have arguably a better team. A game in the park v Crusheen is really springing to mind, 2014 semi I think??

That was a bad bad day. To be honest we were heartless.
Think our lads are well focused this year so hopefully we can do it this time.

This weekend it's football In my own County. Rhode again in another final and favourites to overcome Ferbane. It's 19 years since Ferbane last made it to the final. Recent underage success for Ferbane as an amalgamation has helped them get to this final but Rhode are old hands at this stage having won a scatter of senior titles in the last fifteen years.
Rhode as usual will fancy a run in the Leinster campaign. Finals are funny things, anything can happen. I'm sure Ferbane will target a couple of the Rhode big guns, none bigger than Niall McNamee. Still I expect Rhode to have too much firepower and too Street smart to fall at this hurdle.
Ferbane also contest the minor final in the curtain raiser. They'll be going for three in a row minor titles.

We are busy as well, in three semi-finals, Junior A football, Intermediate Hurling and Minors in a County A hurling. Young lad on all three teams fullback on one, center forward on another and midfield on the third team team.

That's a great turn for the rower, didn't they only get back senior a few years ago? Few friends from that part of the world.

Senior a couple of years now they have Daragh Joyce back from Aussie football and a few county players too and of course managed by a Fennelly

Jez he must be have a bit of power and skill - full back on junior football and center forward on the hurling i presume.

Wrong guess I pm the the lad that get the positions right. He is a strong lad all right about 1.83 meters tall and and 80kg's. Not the fastest man on the pitch but not slow either.

Was up around the foothills of Mount Leinster today and even the car radio was getting confused switching from one to the other .
St Mullins win Carlow. Oulart win Wexford . Thurles Sarsfield win Tipperary on Tippfm .
The Rower-Inistioge lost semi . Its Ballyhale and O Loughlins in Kilkenny final .
Saw last few minutes of Clonlara earning a draw in Clare .

Tony Kelly was something else today. 4 amazing points. All the county guys stood out, in fairness.

Portlaoises attempt for ten County titles in a row was snatched from their grasp by a super goal with the last kick of the game. Stradbally are champs in Laois.
Predictable enough in my own County. Rhode take the title at their leisure.
6 points from play by Niall McNamee.

Just about. Should have put the game to bed 15 mins to go.
    Lucky to have another chance.

I saw the village is well decked out anyhow, & Stritch's pub in particular.

very urban senior football final in Meath, Simonstown from the north side of Navan town vs Ashbourne. between the two clubs they draw from a population of 10,000 and 12,000 respectivley.
looks like the celtic tiger cubs are becoming lions, hopefully meath can come good with a good county team again even if they are mostly urbanites

Some goal with the last kick of the game to win it from Stradbally!

Carnew and Bray drew in the Wicklow SHC final in Aughrim yesterday. I'm amazed that the county doesn't do better given the talent that was on display. Some amazing scores from Brays Mikey Lee.

Ya go fairness place looks well alright. That's the regular colour of the pub in case you were thinking it was painted that colour just for the final. It's the hurling pub.
    Were you lost !
