    Line standard VDSL2
    Channel type
    None
    Downstream line rate (kbit/s) 90250
    Upstream line rate (kbit/s) 16601
    Downstream SNR (dB) 11.4
    Upstream SNR (dB) 9.1
    Downstream line attenuation (dB) 10.4
    Upstream line attenuation (dB) 3.7
    Downstream output power (dBmV) 12.4
    Upstream output power (dBmV) -7.1
    Downstream CRC 98931
    Upstream CRC 0
    Downstream FEC 134187496
    Upstream FEC 2607

Don't know what the uptime is for those stats - but that looks pretty bad. Either it's a line fault or you are on too high a profile that your line can't support it.

What speeds are you supposedly getting?

Its about 4 days uptime. Eirs website says i can get up to 90Mb but I regularly sync at 95-98.

Its an upstream fault not a downstream. If you're close enough to see 90Mb+ on the DS then you should easily hit the 20Mb US threshold but aren't.

    -Moved MDP
    -Phone/Alarm/Panic Alarm
    -Long RJ11 patch

Check for those, then ask them to send it to technicians. You should be seeing attains in excess of 22Mb.

Thanks for the reply. No phone, monitored alarm etc. Its simple fibre package, no voice element.
The Modem is right beside the wall plate which is inside the front door at entry point.
Don't know what an MDP is?

Master socket. You're fine internally, they need to send it off.

As expected, the short phone call resulted in only entertaining one solution: A free replacement modem which naturally is going to fix the problem. Well, we'll try it out but for some reason, I don't think its going to solve the issue. Will keep ye updated

As an update, new modem arrived and made no difference, in fact it kept disconnecting every 5 mins. The thing I did notice is that the modem didn't actually reboot but rather the link kept going. In the CP, it kept trying to establish link and after any bit of traffic, crashed. Suddenly no signal after I touched the wire from the master socket. So it seems that on replacing everywire etc, the only culprit that seems to make a difference if you wiggle it (there is wiggle room!) Is the master socket which is a tad loose on the wall. Is this something I fix myself or log another call?

Its a pretty simple setup. 50v DC is totally safe. If you're handy with a screwdriver its probably a case of securing the incoming line on the rear terminals.

I'll give it a whirl tomorrow when I can make some noise! Thanks for your help ED E
