    Hi there,

I have placement this year. Multiple choices and one of them which I have as my number 1 is in Europe.

Will i still get my BTEA if the placement is in Europe as opposed to Ireland. Read before that if it is in IReland must choose that one over a foreign one. Could be wrong on that though.

    Thanks

Once awarded, BTEA participants are obliged to notify the Department immediately if they:
    • Cease attending their course of study
    • propose to transfer/change their course of study for which BTEA was originally awarded
    • intend to travel abroad as part of their course of study
    • undertake a work placement, including that for which they will receive an income
    • take up part-time employment
    • are affected by any change of circumstance that may affect their eligibility for the qualifying payment or the value of the BTEA payment.
Failure to or a delay in the supply of this information within a reasonable period should result in a termination of the BTEA payment and assessment of an overpayment:

Looks like you tell the dept you are going to be abroad.
