Hi guys got my commencement notice in and diggers are arriving on site
On the 24th I'm looking after the build myself and keeping an eye out for any
Bargains or ways to save a few bob.

I'm thinking of buying my scaffolding for the house and selling it off again when I'm finished I have seen a few for sale but I don't know is there enough in what's
Being sold and I don't want to end up with half the house scaffolded .

Anyone any good at calculating amounts or point me in the direction of how I'd
    Calculate it ?

    Regards
    Owen

Get a few price for getting a company to put it up, you'd be surprised at the different prices you'd get,
A lot of hassle buying it and trying to resell it, not sure what H&S would say about you fitting it yourself,
What part of the country are you in,

I'm in Galway so I am . I wouldn't be erecting it myself would be leaving that to
Professionals just think it would be cheaper for me as I may need it for up to
    Nine months

It can be a good idea to buy if on a slow self build.
What I would advise is that you do your calcs based on giving it away at the end and then see if it's still worthwhile.
You will sell it but not for anywhere near what you paid.

You'll have to get a qualified person to put it up or do any alterations to it once it's up

I understand the pros and cons and the ins and outs just trying to calculate
    How much I would need

You will have no trouble selling it at the end.

Your hassle will be buying it! It's scarce!

I'm not sure of the numbers for rental, but I know I bought a few lengths of scaffolding (brand new) for around 6 euro each.

This was for the quick lock stuff (has a twist lock as opposed to a pin). I was just adding to some that I had borrowed off a family member.

Said family member said it was approx. 50c a day to rent.....
