Have some cheviot ewes, which l crossed with a suffolk last year, with good results. This year I'm considering hampshire down, a neighbour informed me of a lad selling hampshire down/suffolk cross ram lambs, out of purebred stock.
what would one recommend, purebred Hampshire or cross? Also what would you expect to pay for good quality stock of both.

I'd go for the purebred ram rather than cross bred. There is a reason the ewe wasn't let out to the ram of their respective breed
