So I have a build thats beginning to show its age right now with alot of slowdown and my gpu is kinda starting show its age (I know the port was god awful)but batman arkham knight was a slideshow util it was somewhat playable a bit later. So my current build its a corsair 650tx psu a i5 4670k I havent touched the overclocking on it for fear that th whole thing goes boom. But I urrently have a gtx760 gigabyte windforce and its has forever been up in down in performance. So where should i shoot for 1080p gaming will a 1060 be good enough should I hold out for a 1070. Just to max it all ? Also as a side what brand its the best for temperature and silence because the windforce sounds as though its taking off half the time.

1060 6Gb would allow 1080p at High, 1070 for Ultra settings.

Palit Jetstream / Gainward Phoenix are the quietest coolers available.

    Depends on budget

But a RX480 or a 1060 will do the trick

Don't need to worry too much about VAT while the UK is still in the EU ;)

    I'd recommend this
    https://www.scan.co.uk/products/gainward-geforce-gtx-1060-phoenix-6gb-gddr5-vr-ready-graphics-card-1280-core-1506mhz-gpu-1708mhz-boo

    or this

    https://www.scan.co.uk/products/palit-geforce-gtx-1060-jetstream-6gb-gddr5-vr-ready-graphics-card-1280-core-1506mhz-gpu-1708mhz-boos

if you're comfortable with overclocking your GPU yourself.

    This model is factory overclocked:

AmazonUK and Mindfactory.de are good places to buy from also.

    1) Please... type slower. I can just barely read that.

    2) Yes, you can OC in software. The only benefit of buying a factory-overclocked card is that those OCs are guaranteed & warrantied.

    3) Palit/Gainward are the biggest OEM supplier of GPUs in Europe.
Their 3-slot cooler is the coolest, and definitely the quietest (going by Computerbase.de).

Feel free to buy from whomever though.

Lol sorry so I am looking at the Gigabyte g1 gaming one more so because virtually my entire build is gigabyte. gotit on scan for about 248 ex vat which is perfect for what I want . Think thats the one but I am now interested in palit and gainward I always thought they were of lower quality. Just in general.

    I have G1 1060 myself.

Voltage is locked. It still owed very damn well amd keeps temperatures of 68 max with overclock on Unigen benchmark after multiple times.

1060 is a great card for 1080p, damn, I am running that card on 3440x1440 and it is nailing it no problem with AA turned off.
