Recommend hiking shoes?

    I don't hike but I do an unreal amount of walking around Limerick city. Can someone recommend a good hiking shoe that would hopefully be more comfortable and last longer than runners?

    I confess I've been using Karrimor hiking shoes and boots I got on Amazon. They're very poor. Have had two pairs and each only lasted a year.

    There's a good place here in Limerick called Radar Stores but I'd say I'd get a better price online? Thanks!! :)
