Waiting weeks for emergency repair

I have reported a leak at my property weeks ago and I'm still waiting for a call back to tell me when the repair will happen.
The leak is under a gravel driveway and is doing damage to my neighbours driveway.  At this stage it is an emergency. My neighbour is getting angry with me about it and I will be forced to pay a contractor to do it if I don't get my first fix free soon.
I have called Irish water several times and been told to expect a call back that never comes.
As someone who paid all my bills I feel it is very unfair that I am being fobbed off.  I feel that I have already paid for this service through my bills.

Is there anything I can do or is the normal service I can expect from Irish water?

Unfortunately Mairead Irish Water are not sorry enough about my experience to actually do anything about it.  The flooding continues unabated.  I got fobbed off twice today with the usual response- we'll get back to you.  I still have no date for when I can expect to get the leak repaired.
The contractor  employed on your behalf is seemingly too busy to get to all the work done.  In this case it seems only fair that I should be able to get the repair done and send the bill to Irish Water.  Is that acceptable?

Yes at long last.  Following my posts on here I had a visit from a contractor working on behalf of Irish Water.  He identified the leak location and came back this morning and had the problem resolved after half an hours work.
I'm delighted to have the leak repaired as my back garden is already a complete quagmire and I have water everywhere at the side of my house.
My message to anyone with a similar problem is to forget phoning or email and make your complaints on a public forum.
