Two grey exclamation marks on left of status bar - what do they mean?

I just added a wifi router (Linksys E900 N300 ) to my home set up for the phone (running Jelly Bean 4.2) since then two grey triangles with exclamation marks show on the "status bar" at the top of the screen what do they mean? This may or may not be related but even with the wifi turned off the battery is now draining much…

This may or may not be related but even with the wifi turned off the battery is now draining much quicker than before the home wifi link was added to my phone which previously was not online at all - ie no mobile data plan ever
